A carer since the age of 19, Jacquie Kelly saw first-hand how good care could transform someone’s life. She channelled her passion into setting up Respect Care, her first company, in 2006
She now works in the business alongside son, Nicholas.
Nicholas Kelly is the chairman and co-founder of Axela Ltd, a company centred around providing compassionate care services, which he started with his mother, Jacquie Kelly, who has worked as a care provider for over 30 years.
Nicholas started the business in 2006 after seeing the difference dedicated and experienced care can make to the wellbeing of individuals. Alongside Jacquie, he set up his first domiciliary care company called Respect Care, putting service users at the centre and treating its carers with respect and dignity. . Axela is organised across three solution hubs: Axela Care, Respect Care, and Axela Innovations operating in the UK and across the world.
Nicholas has extensive experience leading complex, innovative projects for some of the world’s biggest technology companies including Apple and LinkedIn where he worked in their technology development departments.
Passionate about changing the way people view healthcare by supporting the care lifecycle, making care assessable to everyone, and using technology to better support staff to deliver better care, Nicholas has over 15 years’ experience and is ardent about social care.
Axela is uniquely positioned to deliver better care experiences and its hero product is its cAir:ID platform, which allows for proactive care by monitoring and supporting the changing needs of a person digitally, and at speed.
Sinead joined Respect Care Services and the Axela Group in 2016 as Group HR Manager.
Sinead graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2010 with a degree in law and subsequently went onto study her Legal Practice course at BPP in London and after identifying a keen passion for Employment law, she went on to study Human Resources Management and is now a qualified CIPD associate.
Within her role at Respect Care and the Axela Group, Sinead provides support in all aspects of HR and Operational matters and legal compliance.
David is a key team member and helps with all things financial!
